Michael Bay is brushing off reported criticism from Megan Fox that his movies depend too heavily on special effects, and fail to offer ample opportunities for actors to act, telling the Wall Street Journal his 'Transformers' starlet is showing her naiveté by biting the hand that feeds. "Well, that’s Megan Fox for you. She says some very ridiculous things because she’s 23 years old and she still has a lot of growing to do," he said. "You roll your eyes when you see statements like that and think, 'Okay Megan, you can do whatever you want. I got it.'"

Perez Hilton has backed down on his no-apology stance after hurling an anti-gay slur during an altercation with the Black Eyed Peas. He issued a statement revealing that he is sorry for his harsh words - but sorrier for the way his assault has been reported by the media. Perez writes: "I wanted to hurt [will.i.am] with the word I chose, not anyone else. Unfortunately, the one who got hurt was me and, subsequently, a lot of other people... I have been extremely bothered by the reaction to my assault... Would they have said the same thing if I was a woman? Would I have 'deserved it' if I had been stabbed?"

Lambert Vexed By Unauthorized Release

If you thought you were going to have to wait months for Adam Lambert's first album, you were apparently wrong - the 'American Idol' runner-up recorded some studio tracks in 2005 that will be released by indie label Hi-Fi Recordings/Wilshire Records as Lambert's unofficial debut, 'On With the Show.' Lambert explained in a statement, "Back in 2005 when I was a struggling artist, I was hired as a studio singer to lend my vocals to tracks written by someone else... The work I did back then in no way reflects the music I am currently in the studio working on."

Spears shocked fans with an on-stage blunder Wednesday night at her Manchester concert when she shouted, "What's up London!" in the middle of a performance.
"It was really odd," one fan said to UK paper The Sun. "I'm not sure if she noticed as she then continued with the performance."
