A legendary doorman and sometimes-actor best known for playing Nicolas Cage's brother in 'World Trade Center' and for a role in 'The Wrestler' was arrested on Wednesday for allegedly cracking a man's head with the metal end of a velvet rope outside an NYC hotspot, Page Six reports.

Michael Bay is brushing off reported criticism from Megan Fox that his movies depend too heavily on special effects, and fail to offer ample opportunities for actors to act, telling the Wall Street Journal his 'Transformers' starlet is showing her naiveté by biting the hand that feeds. "Well, that’s Megan Fox for you. She says some very ridiculous things because she’s 23 years old and she still has a lot of growing to do," he said. "You roll your eyes when you see statements like that and think, 'Okay Megan, you can do whatever you want. I got it.'"

Lambert's Old Label: He Wrote the Songs

A small label plans to release an album of material recorded by 'American Idol' runner-up Adam Lambert this summer - in advance of Lambert's much anticipated major label debut. The singer claims the material was culled from studio tracks for which he simply provided vocals, but Hi-Fi Recordings/Wilshire Records disagrees, saying that Lambert co-wrote a number of the songs on the album. "The music was always meant to be released. Of the 11 songs that will appear on the album, 'On With the Show,' Adam co-wrote eight," they claim in a statement.

Perez Hilton has accused the Black Eyed Peas' manager of assaulting him outside a Toronto nightclub, and he's hitting back with a civil lawsuit. The celebrity blogger is seeking more than $25,000 for battery and intentional infliction of emotional distress. TMZ reveals that Polo Molina is on probation stemming from a DUI arrest in California, and therefore could also spend up to six months in jail for popping Perez.

Perez Hilton has backed down on his no-apology stance after hurling an anti-gay slur during an altercation with the Black Eyed Peas. He issued a statement revealing that he is sorry for his harsh words - but sorrier for the way his assault has been reported by the media. Perez writes: "I wanted to hurt [will.i.am] with the word I chose, not anyone else. Unfortunately, the one who got hurt was me and, subsequently, a lot of other people... I have been extremely bothered by the reaction to my assault... Would they have said the same thing if I was a woman? Would I have 'deserved it' if I had been stabbed?"
